It enables you to play with either one or two players, as well as allowing you to get to know the course. In SSX Tricky, there are three modes of gameplay in which you may use, some of which may help you to practice and others of which you may compete.įreeride The Freeride mode of gameplay does not allow you to unlock characters or boards, but is basically just for fun. However, if the player ends up annoying other AI characters, generally by attacking them during the race in order to fill the adrenaline bar, they will become hostile towards you in future events. If the player is friendly with another AI character, they will treat the player favourably. If a player successfully performs six Uber moves, spelling out 'tricky' on the boost bar, they will have infinite boost for the remainder of the level.Īlso introduced in the game is a rivalry system in the World Circuit mode. Each player can perform five Uber moves, including a personal move if the character is using a board that matches their style.
If a player successfully lands an Uber move, they are given a short amount of time for infinite boost, which can be topped off by performing more Uber moves. If players are able to fill their boost bar to the maximum, they'll be able to perform Uber moves which involve characters taking their feet off their board.
The important new feature added to the series are the Uber moves. Gameplay continues the same basic method introduced in SSX, with the main tracks being 'remixed' from the previous games and two new tracks, Garibaldi and Alaska. This was the first game in the series to be released on multiple consoles, the original game being exclusive to the PlayStation 2. The game includes a behind-the-scenes "making of" segment, labelled "DVD Content" in the main menu. In SSX, players choose one of several varied characters, participate in races or trick competitions, and earn rewards. gonna try interpreterĮDIT 2: Okay thats just worse haha.SSX Tricky is a snowboarding video game, the second game in the SSX series published by EA Sports BIG & developed by EA Canada. speed seems fine but on LLE reompiler audio is stuttering like crazy.
any idea why the buffer would be recommended on the wiki but crash mine? cause I am running 64 bit or a different build of dolphin? or could it be the iso I am dealing with? cause if there is a way I could get that opening video ( its dumb but it makes me smile ) and or the other cut scene's working would be so much nicer.ĮDIT: Just did a quick play through. Odd thing being tried it with this buffer "on" in a couple other games such as SSX 3 and no crash.
Whenever I had this enabled and started SSX the whole emu just crashed out I turn it off and it seems to function like SSX 3 no intro but the game is responding ALOT better at the menu.
but you mentioning it again did force me to hammer through it doing some basic trial and error so thanks haha yeah as mentioned I went through and checked the wiki page like to do some research before I take up other peoples time. Thank you so much for the quick response. (10-31-2012, 12:10 PM)Axxer Wrote: The wiki for this game,, says you need to disable (enable? Idk) Skip EFB Access from CPU and use Real XFB for proper graphics. So what I need to know is what settings I need for it to run smoothly or if I should just give up on this one and call it a loss. I did google the problem and followed some of the suggestions from the dolphin wikipedia but unfortunately no positive results and then I searched this forum and found the answer to SSX 3 but not tricky. Virtually all the games I have run across have worked rather well except for SSX tricky which makes me a little sad as I quite enjoyed the over the top nature of that one.īasically I need to know if there are any settings I could change to allow it to run properly as right now it does not display the intro ( seems to have the same issue as SSX3 ) which is unfortunate but even when I get into the menu I find it is extremely laggy and the audio is skipping and stuttering. but after working with this really well designed emulator I am very impressed.
As per the rules I am running the following.Ī) Intel Core i5-2500k 3.3GHz / 16 GB of ram / ATI Radeon HD 7970 / Windows 7 圆4Ĭ) Dolphin settings are default have had no need to change them yet.ĭ) Run SSX Tricky for GC without it looking like a train wreck.
